J-hope, confirmed that he has received notice for his military enlistment, making him the second member of the group to serve after Jin, who began his service in December of last year. During a recent live broadcast, j-hope shared that he has a date for his enlistment and aims to showcase a better version of himself when he returns. Jin had also contacted him after he received the notice and provided advice. J-hope’s goal during his time in the military is to maintain good physical condition and not age too much. Despite the news of his enlistment, j-hope assured fans that this is not his last broadcast before he leaves. He recently released a solo song called “On the street” featuring J. Cole and a documentary called “j-hope IN THE BOX” on Disney Plus, detailing his journey in producing his first official solo album “Jack In The Box.”
BigHit agency confirmed that j-hope has applied for termination of his enlistment postponement and asked for continued love and support for him until he completes his military service and returns safely, promising to provide support during his service.
The South Korean government requires all able-bodied men aged between 18 and 28 to serve in the military for about 18 months, but artists who promote Korean culture internationally can defer their service until the age of 30.
As Jin has already enlisted and j-hope is soon to follow, fans are waiting for updates on when the other BTS members will serve. Nevertheless, fans continue to show their support for the group and eagerly anticipate their future music releases.
