It’s almost like 3D was snatched from 2008. The chorus’ whispered refrains and pitched harmonies by Jungkook add to the song’s nostalgic intensity, but a cameo by rapper Jack Harlow bring the song squarely into the present.
Although Jungkook and Harlow were not able to record the song together due to scheduling issues, they met when filming the music video and clicked right away.
The two English-language solo songs by Jungkook so far in 2023 (“Seven” featuring Latto and “3D”) have both pushed him into a more explicit area than before. Having been in the spotlight since he was 15 years old, Jungkook now 26, appears to be allowing himself the freedom to explore more mature issues in his solo chapter. Additionally, he is unconcerned about anyone who would object to this route and places his faith in the variety of the fandom.
