V, whose given name is Kim Taehyung, was born in Daegu, South Korea, on December 30, 1995. He started out singing and playing the saxophone as a child, and in 2013 after trying out for Big Hit Entertainment, he eventually joined BTS.
V began acting after joining BTS and made his acting debut in the historical drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth and he also made an appearance on the soundtrack. In the Soop: Friendcation, a reality series on Disney+ that featured V as a guest character, followed the singer and his real-life friends who are actors, musicians, and other creatives while they were on vacation.
V realease three solo songs,”Stigma” from 2016; “Singularity” from 2018; and “Inner Child” from 2020—all made the Gaon Digital Chart in South Korea. In 2019, he self-penned and released “Scenery,” his debut independent single.
V set two Guinness World Records when the BTS members joined Instagram in December 2021. The singer set new records for both the quickest period to acquire one million and ten million followers.
